Fukushima on the Kisokaido, ukiyo-e prints by Hiroshige

For many years I have seen the Asian people depicted in such pictures. They are always working carrying some sort of goods. They are drawn huntched over slanky and with no expression. I hope and dream to some day visit Japan and buy some of their wonderful textiles.
Their textiles are so rich in color with bright hues contrasted over black or brown, splashed with their kryptic symbols. This has always caught my eye and I certainly hope though that if I ever make it to Japan or some other similar region, I will come away with a better image of the Orient.
In spite of this depiction, I still love the culture that shows through their images.
