We hope you are spending plenty of time reading about various aspects of fashion at fashionwindows.com but just for fun, check out this article – Store Windows in Paris: Barbie Dolls at Collette – from Spring 2009.  Perhaps the best part of the visuals is the use of the slogan, ‘Barbie… Making boys wish they were girls since 1959’

The visual of the huge Barbie “Pink Box” was very eye catching.  It was also timely since 2009 was the fiftieth anniversary of the Barbie doll, who made her premier at Toy Fair in NYC in 1959.

The launch of a Barbie line of clothing is an interesting twist on “toy merchandising”.  It will be interesting to watch the outcome of this design enterprise over the coming years.
